LDYC Spring cruise - 8/9 Sept
Saturday 8 Sept was a warm & sunny day with a
light breeze.
6 LDYC yachts & crews met on the jetty and after
much boat scrubbing & packing for the overnight stop at Bayshore marina, we
left at 10.30 am.
We were joined Erwee & Eileen from Manten marina
& Russell from PNYC.
We had a raft up lunch anchored on the western
shore of "Die Eiland" & enjoyed watching the Big boat regatta.
The braai on Ssandscat, thanks to Ed, was well
used & everyone enjoyed watching the yachts round the muster & govt farm
marks in a twitchy breeze.
We had a slow motorsail after lunch into
Bayshore marina fwhere we met up with some LDYC cruiseres who were already
tied up on walk on moorings.
Everyone enjoyed supper in the restaurant and a
good night's sleep.
We enjoyed a reach back to LDYC in strong winds
-Ssandscat managed a 12 knot reading - well done Spencer !
