Hi there,
Here follows cruise report:
LDYC cruise to Pennant Nine - 11/12 March 2006
The following members joined us on our cruise this month:
Jimmy & Jean - Mystic
Frans & family - Audacity (Manten Marina)
Frans' friends - Kinetics (Manten Marina)
Roland & Caran - Stress
Ed, Alba & Martin - Majestic
Luke & Robyn - She's boss
Erwee, Eileen & children - Windfall (Manten Marina)
Simon, Sheryl & Spencer - Tulloch

We left LDYC in very little wind, but lots of blue sky & sunshine, which was a welcome break from the previous rainy days. Motor sailing was necessary for most of the way & yachts joined the cruise when it was suitable so we met on the water at various times.
We anchored just past the confluence for lunch. Simon, Roland & Spencer enjoyed a swim, Manten Marina representatives shared sailing stories, Jim & Jean skipped lunch raft up & had an afternoon snooze on the mooring @ Pennant Nine & the rest of us got to Pennant Nine at about 3pm.
Braai fires were provided, the pub was open, the evening sky was peaceful & everyone relaxed. We were even more relaxed when Ed & his family eventually arrived after cruising to find us in the dark - well done for your perseverance.
Sunday morning promised good wind which turned into strong wind , reefed sails & challenging sailing.
All arrived home safely.
Roland & Caran's tender sank on the mooring but was saved by Thomas.
We thank everyone who joined this & the other 3 cruises this sailing season.
At this time in the sailing calendar we wish you all a cosy winter.
Best wishes,
Simon & Sheryl Fisher.
