All boat trailers must be parked in the
demarcated areas. |

mirror is compulsary equipment on all boats with skiers. |

jetty is provided for skiers suitably signpost, and other jetty space may only
be used in shallow water.1 |

No wake
zones must be adhered to at all times. |

All boats
shall keep to the right (starboard) of the centerline when in the river. |

The direction of travel on the Vaal River is
anti-clockwise. Eg. Keep to the right. When meeting head on both craft must
pass port to port. |

Boats proceeding will have the right of way
over other boats leaving banks or jetties. |
 |
When picking persons up from the water,
engines must be switched off. |
 |
Boats
pulling into jetties will have the right of way over boats leaving them. The
onus to observe this rules rests on the latter, |

All motor driven craft performing a change of
course will be responsible to ensure that his intentions are signaled to any
boat behind, which will concede right of way. |

Boats approaching Club jetties must reduce
speed to eliminate wash ond no wake zone. |

When pulling off from the side (with or
without a skier) pull off anti-clockwise along the banks. Do not pull off at
90 degrees from the bank to the middle of the river. |

Members on skis who spray person on the
jetties or in boats will be severely dealt with. |

Ski towropes may only be of manila, polythene
or cotton. |

Circuits by motor boats hall wherever possible
be carried out in an anti-clockwise direction. |

A motor boat
gives way to all other types of boats. |
 |
All persons shall wear adequate personal
buoyancy whilst water skiing. |
 |
In addition to the pilot, one competent person
shall be in the towing boat to watch the skier, or the pilot shall use a wade
angle rear view mirror. |

No boat shall follow or pass closer than 100m
in the wake of a boat towing a water skier, swimmers or aquaplanes. |
 |
Every towing boat shall carry a red flag that
shall be clearly displayed when the boat is engaged I picking up water skier. |
 |
No person shall use a boat on the water from
half an hour after sunset to half an hour before sunrise unless such a boat
displays approved lighting. |
 |
No person shall deposit any object, substance,
toilet refuse, rubbish, petrol, oil or any other mineral product in the water. |
 |
No person shall kill, injure, catch or disturb
any animal or bird or remove nests or eggs in or around the club area. |
 |
No boat shall be used on the club premises or
water, even temporarily, as living or sleeping accommodation. |
 |
Should an accident occur in which a person is
injured or killed, or damage is done to any property, the accident must
immediately be reported to the nearest police station. |
