LDYC cruisers left the jetty just before 10am in a light breeze. This was enough wind to sail most of the way with motors helping every now & then. We were joined by cruisers from Manten Marina, Anchor Creek & PNYC along the way.

There were 3 powerboat cruisers that joined us and they proved to be helpful in convincing the yachties that our masts would fit under the power lines & showing us the way along the river that some of us had not sailed previously.

We anchored at about 14h00 at De Bank.The breeze disappeared and anchorage held for the entire night - great!

Fires were lit for a braai as well as a bonfire and the party began. Lots of laughter and a special fire dance by John Gauk Rodger were part of the evening's entertainment. Vanessa showed us some interesting sitting positions & Geoff tried them out with little success.

Everyone made a relaxed start to the day and sailed home in hot summer weather.
