vCaravan owners Meeeting held at 16th of May 2009.

v The meeting was opened at 11h05 and all were welcomed by Stephen Bester

v All members were urged to have a look at the members file located in the foyer, all members must ensure their details are up to date.

v All members were thanked for their response to    the e-mail circulated regarding new and upgrading projects. These have been given to the Development Committee for approval and implementation.

v No boats (power or keel) are allowed on the green areas, in future the ground staff will be used to move any boats found on green area’s to the appropriate holding area’s. Any boats kept on site must be under the canopy with no part of the boat extending beyond the canopy overhang.

v Members guests are allowed to camp on the green area adjacent to the members site, but please do not encroach onto the neighbours site, and keep in mind that the your neighbor also have a right to use this green area. A member will only be allowed 5 visitors or two tents on a green  area at any given time. Should a member wish to entertain more guests he/she must obtain written permission from the management committee

v Management will look at the thirty day rule more stringent but each case will be treated on merit and history of that particular member at the club. The worst case offenders will be tackled first.

v The legality of wendy houses on site were queried and the development committee will be tasked to find out firstly what we are allowed on site by the municipal by-laws and a decision will then be made if wendy houses will be allowed or not

v A number of illegal power connections were found during the last inspection. All site owners have until the end of May 2009 to have their Circuit Breakers restored to the original state, or the club will have it restored on their behalf and the account will be for the site owners account. Any future tampering with the electricity will result in the member losing his caravan site

v Mancom is currently certifying the connections between the main connection box and the local connection box as well as the connection between the local box and the caravan site. The aim is to hand the connection between the local box and caravan site to the owner of the caravan site who then will be responsible for all maintenance to the cable and connection.

v All water connections to caravan sites must be applied for by the caravan site owner and on approval by MANCOM the installation must be done to MANCOM’s specification.

v All members were asked to check their water connections for leakages, as these leakages is costing the club a lot of water and pressure.

v No dogs are allowed in the BAR, CLUBHOUSE or BATHROOMS all other areas the dog has to be on a leash and any member found not adhering to this long standing rule will be dealt with as stipulated in the constitution.

v No Quad bike will be allowed on the property unless it is registered at the LDYC office. To obtain registration, fill out a registration form which will be followed by an inspection of the specific quad bike. On approval of the quad bike the owner will receive a specific number that must be visibly displayed at all times. MANCOM will retain the right to revoke any registered quad bike’s number at any time, at which time the right to use the quad bike will be revoked as well. No member without a valid drivers license will be allowed to operate a quad bike on LDYC property. No members visitor will be allowed to bring their quad bike onto our property.

v Members visitors will stay the responsibility of the member. At all times members will be held responsible for their visitors actions. Visitors to members must park their boats if any in the allocated area’s and not on the green area’s. The launching fee for visitors will be enforced more efficiently.

v All complaints must be put into writing, any complaints received and not put into writing will be ignored.

v Members will in future receive a booklet with tickets which can be issued to visitors, these visitors will only be allowed on site if the member is present as well, when these tickets have all been used further tickets can be obtained from the LDYC office.

v A COC and COF disclaimer will be handed out at the gate to all persons entering our property

v Security at the main gate will be sharpened and gate will not be opened unless the security guard, have verified the presence of keys in the ignition

v All caravan sites will be remarked and measured

v A complaint about speeding and dust was made. All members has to police this issue, the paving and cobblestone of our main roads have been handed to DEVCOM as a project to consider

v A request to protect our trees, especially from weed eaters were made, the necessary arrangements will be made

v A request to re-instate arbour day was made, this request will be forwarded to the entertainment committee

v A suggestion was made that all changes to rules and regulations be published in our signal. This suggestion will be forawarded to MANCOM and the PRO

v Positive feed back in regards to the kitchen and food was received and Suzette and her team was thanked for their efforts.

v Positive feed back on our grounds was received “IT NEVER LOOKED BETTER” a special thanks was conveyed to John Marian, and our ground staff

v    Meeting was closed at 12h30
